Perfect Prey is book 2 in the Consortium series. With its many twists and turns, fellow readers have reported trouble figuring out how it will end. Based on the question, “What could happen if someone sells your personal information to an unscrupulous organization,” it is a fictional account of what Avril must do to survive after selling her at auction to the highest bidder. The frightening thing is that what happened to Avril could happen to anyone — even you.
the reviews are in
As I see the news about the jogger missing, I can’t help think of Mr. Verry’s book, Perfect Prey. This is excellent writing as the writer exposes a “Consortium” that arranges for people to be taken from all over the world. What is scary is I can picture myself in this story. The scene with the girl and the snake used for the group’s entertainment is both terrifying and exhilarating. It is written so well that I couldn’t wait to see what happens next. It is a thriller that I couldn’t put down. I hope the author is working on book three of this story. I will buy it to see the conclusion of this “so true to life” thriller. What is next for Avril? I hope and like when the heroine gets revenge.

Once I started reading, it was hard to put down. It picked up closely to where the 1st book left off. The introduction of new characters and their situations were believable. Which leaves you with the question, “could this happen to me or someone i know?’ I believe the answer is definitely a YES. The main characters continue on with their lifestyle. Will Avril betray Sir or submit body, mind and soul? It could go either way depending on her circumstances. We can only wait and see. I thought it was well written and i enjoyed reading it. I’m hoping for another book to continue the journey

[both]“The Trafficking Consortium,” and I was glued to it. I went on to “Perfect Prey.” Wow!
When I got to the chapter of Rachel and the transplant, I could not go on; that was too much for me and I put the book away. I kept thinking about the character, Avril though. I had to find out about her so I picked the book up again.
In the end, in the Author’s notes, you mention Avril and her story. Will there be another book? I would so love to know what her destiny is – does she get the opportunity to destroy the Consortium; leave “Sir” and end this reign of torment and killing? I also was curious about the characters of Robert and Lara — whatever happened to them?
