about the book

With the Consortium’s activities exposed worldwide, Sir is determined to return to the shadows. Something easier said than done. A multi-national effort strives to shut them down, no matter what it takes. Nothing short of bringing the leadership and the members to pay for their crimes against humanity will satisfy the global community.

The goal is to permanently close the Consortium, and Heather and her new friends are traveling worldwide to gather international support.

Sir is frantic to prevent their downfall on his watch. Everything Sir does hits roadblock after roadblock. He turns to his favorite pastimes, a bottle of scotch, and his prey in the dungeons. As time progresses and Sir turns more and more to the bottle, it becomes increasingly uncertain who will survive longer.

Who will prevail in the global struggle for dominance: the lions or the prey? Is the Consortium about to fall? Will Avril prevail and survive the pressures between the world’s or Sir’s thirst for blood, or will she succumb to her expected death?

What Readers Are Saying About Retribution.

  • Exciting Read

I found book 6 in the “Consortium” series to be the best so far. Once I started reading, I had to limit myself so I wouldn’t finish the book all at once.

All the characters fell into place, and more of their personalities came into view. I found it interesting to read the details of the government procedure. I also liked that the book kept up with current areas of interest in the world.

More importantly, the story of Sir Avril and the characters in this book left me wanting more of them. As I read from one chapter to another, I could not let go of the extreme torture scenes to the hot and heavy sex.

Mr. Verry has outdone himself with this book. Please continue on. Even though the “Consortium” is not in the public’s best interest. I, for one, do not want to see it come down, but survive. How will Sir save and resurrect the Consortium? Will Avril die by Sir’s hand, become free, or even rise in her position in the Consortium? Ah, so many questions. We need answers.
    Waiting for book #7.

  • Loved This, Don’t Care.

What makes the storyline so compelling is that it delves deep and puts you in the shoes of Averil. I felt her dilemmas in my girl went through some sick trauma, and just to see her character develop and how intelligent she is, I know for sure I’ve been put down in the first month. The characters feel so real, and even though Sir is a villain, you still can’t help but find him attractive and like him, but at the same time, think that he’s a crazy monster, just like Avril.

She knows he’s gonna burn her like a moth to a flame. Yes, she still will only or unwillingly go to the flame. I’ve never read anything like this. It’s definitely a unique series with real detail, and it’s so realistic that there’s probably something like this in real life. The characters are so complex, and a little insight into everybody’s minds. That is very helpful for the overall telling of the story. There were no boring parts for me. The storytelling is excellent. I love this series. I’ve devoured the series in a week, and I hope there’s a 7-book series because I need closure.
