about the book
In this 9th installment of the Consortium Series, the story picks up several months after Heather’s death by poisoning at her parents’ funeral. The Consortium is responsible, of course, for using a radioactive element to carry out the assassination.
After winter, Raven cleared her yard, removed the human popsicles she’d planted, and is eager for thrilling outdoor fun. The outdoor pool is open, with sparkling blue water. The plants in the solarium eagerly soak up the bright sun before the heat of summer requires sun-filtering shades overhead.
For Raven, things seem to go well, and she’s happy. But all things must end in her world. One problem after another unfolds, disrupting her peace and turning her world upside down. When will it all end? Things need to change, and they definitely do.
Secrets are exposed, a new threat jeopardizes her peaceful home life, and a new target emerges that needs an ending. What else is new?
Sir and Avril reach an agreement, although Avril doubts her decisions. With their principal enemies gone, the trail to the Consortium goes cold, allowing the Consortium to resume business as usual. Is there a happy ending? Sort of. Read the book to find out.
