A society that is eating themselves

Women have been distilled down to cattle bred for sex and food, but Mona is turning the tables, running her own house with her own stock. Many things disturb me in this book. It’s not the sex but the fact that not only are the women eventually food, but they have games like dancing, but with a twist—pun intended. I love Mona, but this is a society that eventually will consume itself. Literally, you would think they would find other food sources. It is gross and fascinating.

Fabulous

This latest book by Mr. Verry in the “Mona” series is fabulous. I loved, loved, loved it. From the first to the last sentence, it had my complete attention. You get so involved with each character and their part in the story. It’s hard to picture their way of life and their thoughts. It is exciting, descriptive in ways that make you shudder. You might stop reading and think, “I’m done, this is not my cup of tea, lol”. And then you come back for more. You can not help it. And more is what we want and need from this story.
Mona’s story is becoming more than just about her day-to-day life. There is a history of her lifestyle, and now a glimpse of what it can become. But will it? Much has to change, and that takes time and desire. Mona has the desire. The question is, does she have the time before others take over? Can she survive the attacks made on her and her House? Time will tell.

Needs Book 5

Great story, but Book 4 ended with a cliff hanger. I believe the author intended to continue the series, but he didn’t. This book ended without ending any of the storylines. Dangit!

Authors Comment
I intend to and will continue this series. Right after writing this book, I suffered a severe concussion, which left me unable to write for nearly a year. By that time, a new idea took hold in my brain for a new series, which I used to deal with my concussion issues. That series took off, and due to reader demand, I’ve been working diligently to balance between the two series. Never fear, my friend, I have a book five and probably more. Mona’s story is a favorite of mine.
