Family Bindings

For months, I felt compelled to tell the story that eventually became the Consortium Series, to free it from my mind. Writing it helped me recover from most of my post-concussion syndrome. I still experience some of those aftereffects, but I can usually handle them now. I’ve written about this before, so I won’t go into it here. You can read all about it on my website.

At some point, I decided to write prequel stories. After all, the series’ premise is that the Consortium has been around for hundreds of years. Maybe my readers want to learn more about the previous generation and how the key characters became who they are at the start of The Trafficking Consortium.

Shadowed Instruction continues after the Chairman’s children discover what their family business really is and how it exploits the unsuspecting world to satisfy the selfish desires of its members. As Raven and her brother delve deeper, they learn more about themselves and how they might fit into the Consortium as young members, even as they uncover more about their own identities.

Each person discovers they have different tastes for the carnage their business unleashes upon the world.

While this book (series) is a work of fiction, it may also raise awareness about the global threat of human trafficking. Maybe someone you know disappeared, never to be heard from again. As I mentioned before, I always keep an eye out, mindful that what I write about could be real. At the very least, awareness is crucial to protecting yourself and your loved ones, even if that awareness comes from a work of fiction.
